Humaniti, a new project in the heart of Montréal

New mandates

By Cossette QC 10 July 2017

It is with great pride that EBC participated in the official ground breaking ceremony of this significant project in downtown Montreal, last July 6th.

The project consists in the construction of a new 39-storey mixed-use tower at the corner of De Bleury Street and Viger Avenue in the Ville-Marie borough. With a total area of approximately 1,000,000 square feet, this project provides five distinct uses: condos, rental apartments, offices, commercial spaces and a 4-star hotel. HUMANITI is the first of its kind in Canada.

Based on the concept of “live, work and play”, HUMANITI will be a source of pride for Montrealers. It will feature a lounge-bar, a 100 seat restaurant, meeting rooms, banquet halls, a spa, a rooftop swimming pool and 5 floors of underground parking. The highest part of this skyscraper will reach 120 m in height.

At the start, EBC will be proceeding with the demolition of an existing building. Construction of the complex should begin right after.

Some noteworthy elements of this project include:

  • Excavation in rock;
  • Archaeology;
  • Blasting;
  • Cantilevered steel structure (hotel);
  • Curtain walls;
  • Precast concrete.

The building is scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2020 and aims at LEED® certification as well as the WELL certification.

EBC is proud to have been chosen to realize what will undoubtedly be a flagship building in the heart of Montreal.
