In the wake of her appointment as President of the Association des constructeurs de routes et de grands travaux du Québec (ACRGTQ), our President Marie-Claude Houle has just been named the Le Soleil-Radio-Canada Laureate of the Week for her impressive career trajectory.

President of EBC Inc. since she was 36, the first woman to rise to the presidency of the ACRGTQ in its 74-year history, winner of the 2008 Quebec Entrepreneur of the Year Grand Prize in the real estate and construction category, our President is making her mark in the construction industry!

According to her, to succeed in a male-dominated environment, you need to have strength of character, to ask the right questions at the right time, and to surround yourself with the best and the brightest.

“I was raised by two highly inspiring models, my father and mother, who showed me that success rhymes with effort. When you firmly believe in your project, you devote your full energy to its success and you mobilize your team, it is inevitable that people – both men and women – will get on board with you.”  – Marie-Claude Houle, President

Once more, the entire EBC team is flush with pride to see its President receive such honours and hopes that even more women will follow in her footsteps.
