Cocité Lévis

New mandates

By Johanne Laurin 2 December 2019

Commissioned by Cocité Lévis S.E.C., EBC is proud to act as a contractor and construction manager for the new multi-use urban neighborhood that will change the face of the Saint-Nicolas sector, west of the Québec and Pierre Laporte bridges. The Cocité Lévis megaproject will be built on a 600,000-square-foot lot located on Highway 132, on the South Shore of Québec City.

On a human scale and in harmony with its natural environment, bordering the majestic St. Lawrence River, this innovative project has been planned in height and will keep the maximum of green spaces, some 200,000 square feet, to create a living environment of quality, right in the city, close to major roads.

The first building of the complex to be erected will have a unique architecture and will offer 88 condominium units on 10 floors, with a large public terrace along the river. In addition to work for municipal services will follow another 21-storey signature construction along the Marie-Victorin road. Besides a 150-room hotel with meeting rooms, the building will offer a dozen floors of office-condos and shared work spaces for rental. A dozen other buildings will emerge to form the neighborhood design inspired by the principles of sustainable real estate development, including a large parking lot in the multi-story basement.

The worksite will be active in the spring of 2020 and will require seven years of work.
