On-Site magazine unveiled on December 3, 2020 the list of nominees for its brand new Top 40 under 40 in Canadian Construction.

There is no shortage of talent at EBC. As Innovation and BIM engineer, Pierre Marcombe has distinguished himself through his initiatives to keep the company moving forward as well as for the construction industry. He is now part of this select list of young leaders in the country.

“It’s an honour to be recognized by the On-Site magazine and SitePartners in this manner. I deeply believe in sharing knowledge, finding innovative methods, and I am thrilled to be an active part of redefining our industry. This peer recognition leads me to believe that I was not wrong! », indicated Pierre Marcombe.

He supports the implementation of VDC, GIS and BIM software to support complex and high profile civil infrastructure projects. A true innovator, he has led the development of many in-house tools to improve team effectiveness throughout EBC. This includes custom software that allows for the dynamic quantification of surfaces on 3D models, giving estimating teams the ability to quickly adapt to ever-changing concepts, and a custom artificial intelligence engine and database of geolocation to convert thousands of photos of construction sites and multiple field data into valuable structured information

Defender of knowledge exchange, Pierre Marcombe actively participates in the training of the next generation of engineers, serving as a mentor through the Order of Engineers of Québec (OIQ), where he supports innovative, ethical and professional practice to positively influence the industry.

This list is not exhaustive as some 1.4 million people work directly in construction across the country and many more in the related sectors that support it. There are many other talented workers who also deserve recognition.

EBC is very proud to be able to count on an inspiring and committed succession. Congratulations to Pierre Marcombe for this well-deserved recognition.
