EBC is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract from Defense Construction Canada (DCC) to design a building to house the fighter squadrons of 3 Wing Bagotville. Located in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, 3 Wing is one of the two main operating bases for Canada’s future fighter aircraft.

Carried out under Design-Build (modified), in partnership with EllisDon, the modern infrastructure covering an area of approximately 12,500 square metre will house the 433 and 425 Tactical Support Squadrons of the Canadian Armed Forces and provide space for daily operations, aircraft maintenance, administration, mission planning, and simulator training.

The new fighter jet squadron building will respect safety issues and integrate several specific energy features and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver certification is targeted.

Construction will begin in the summer of 2022 and be completed by the end of 2025, with the reception of the first aircraft scheduled for 2026.
