Construction Énergie Renouvelable is proud to build the Apuiat wind farm in Québec’s Côte-Nord region

New mandates

Construction Énergie Renouvelable (CER), formed by EBC Inc, TCI+ (a VINCI Energies subsidiary) and LFG Construction, is proud to be building the future Apuiat wind farm in Québec’s Côte-Nord region, 40 km West of Port-Cartier.

Boralex and the Apuiat society (made up of eight Innu communities) chose CER because of its extensive expertise in wind power, particularly in this case on remote and rugged sites under bedrock. The consortium will build more than 75 km of roads and 115 km of collector network, as well as the foundations and assembly of 34 wind turbines, 119 m high, to produce some 200 megawatts of electricity.

Since 2008, Construction Énergie Renouvelable has erected more than 1,000 wind turbines at some twenty wind farms in Québec, Ontario and intends to make an active contribution to the development of this clean, renewable energy source in the years to come.

CER is proud to be involved in the development of wind energy in Québec and to be a major partner in this major project for the Innu communities and Côte-Nord population. This project will provide the region with a long-term source of clean energy. It will be the first wind farm for the Côte-Nord.

More than 300 jobs will be created during the construction phase, which is scheduled for completion in early 2024.
