EBC is very proud to have been selected to build a new, state-of-the-art facility to modernize the Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) Centre in Valcartier, the largest of DRDC’s seven centres across Canada.
The work includes the construction of a 31,000 m2 research pavilion complex which will include some 80 new multidisciplinary laboratories, as well as office and storage spaces. Built according to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver standards, the new facility will bring together nearly 500 defence scientists in a highly functional building at the cutting edge of research and development.
The project started in October 2020 and will end in 2024. This first phase of work is part of a modernization plan for DRDC.
