Great pride for EBC this morning at the ACRGTQ Convention!

EBC won the Occupational Health and Safety Prevention Challenge award from the “Association des constructeurs de routes et de grands travaux du Québec” (ACRGTQ)! To convince the jury, the “Jacques-Bizard Bridge” project team and the Health and Safety team presented the Risk Hunt initiative and, above all, the results obtained in the context of the project.

“It’s an honor for us to be nominated for this challenge that encourages excellence in health and safety! Thank you to all those in the industry who have made a difference in preventing workplace accidents. This contribution to the industry symbolizes a strong turning point in a sustainable OHS culture”. Our decisions are dictated by our OHS culture, and it’s more than motivating to have our efforts recognized in this way. Learn more about the OHS Prevention Challenge

The OHS Prevention Challenge award promotes the prevention of accidents in the workplace, within a framework of healthy competition. The prize is designed to be a simple, flexible exercise that rewards a worksite where there are serious accident hazards, and which demonstrates that OHS stakeholders have implemented safety measures that control or eliminate these hazards at source. It’s a way of highlighting contractors’ efforts to prevent occupational accidents and illnesses on civil engineering and road construction sites.
