Construction of the Cote-Vertu Garage: Tunnels excavation & concreting

To provide more space to park subway trains and to handle the anticipated growth of traffic in the coming years, the STM is having a new subway station garage built. This requires the construction of three buildings. The biggest of these is the underground garage, at a ten-storey depth. EBC, in joint venture with Dragados and TNT, was given one of the most important mandates in the project: digging and concreting. The project includes the excavation using a roadheader of 4 tunnels with a lenghts ranging from 200 to 600 m.
