Big Silver Creek Hydro Project | 40.6 MW
Big Silver Creek Project is a design-build project for a run-of-river hydroelectric power generating facility, with estimated yearly energy output of 139.8 GWh. The project includes design and construction of :
- Water intake tunnel, a diversion channel, a spillway, Obermeyer-type overflow, a dam, steel penstock, as well as a powerhouse with a steel structure to enclose the electricity generating equipment (4 Francis turbines).
- Scope of work also included 200,000 m3 of surface excavation and 12,000 m3 of concrete.
